Hakimuddin Vohra

Hakimuddin A. Vohra, known by his pen name Blaze, comes from a technology background but built his career at the intersection of emotion, behavior, and product design. He founded BeFriends, a wellness platform shaped by psychology and emotional intelligence, and previously sold SafeSavaari after leading it through early growth. He has also contributed to three other startups across product, design, and marketing before joining the NIF as a Consultant. His philosophy blends two truths he learned in the field: sometimes you build to fail so that you can learn, and sometimes you build to win because you finally understand why it matters. He believes that progress begins with honest questions, even when the questions feel uncomfortable. Blaze wrote this book to share eight years of lessons from the startup trenches, from the founder’s seat and from the viewpoint of incubators and investors. He hopes these insights help founders build with empathy, resilience, and dignity.
